If you ask that question to a hundred different writers, you’ll get a hundred different answers. We all have our reasons for why we write. It can be very personal to very simple. Some of the answers I’ve heard run the gamut from; “I have to; if I don’t write, I’ll explode!” to “Why not write?”.
Writing is a personal style. Your writing is the mark of the person inside you. It will, just like your fingerprint be an identifying characteristic of who you are. When you put your thoughts into words, you are speaking from your heart and soul. They are, and always will be, a part of you.
Some people wish to share their words with the rest of the world. And thanks should go to these courageous and generous writers. It’s not easy to let part of yourself go. These Authors have given of their deepest thoughts and colorful imaginations so that the rest of us can live, if only for a little while, in another time or place.
